Paid bereavement time is available to all regular full-time and part-time employees, for the attendance of funerals or memorial services, to assist in financial matters or estate affairs, or for personal mourning of  qualifying family members.
Up to ten (10) days of paid bereavement time may be taken for the death of an immediate family member based on the hours scheduled to work. For purposes of this policy, the following are considered immediate family members:
● Spouse ● Parent ● Child (including pregnancy loss)

Bereavement of up to three (3) days is granted for the loss of other family members, to include:
• Sibling ● Grandparent • Aunt/Uncle ● Grandchild
A step or in-law relation will be treated the same as a biological relation for purposes of requesting bereavement time. An employee requesting bereavement should contact his/her/their manager/supervisor as soon as possible. At management’s discretion, unpaid time off may be allowed for bereavement in situations not covered by this policy, or the employee may use PTO if the employee has PTO available.
