There is a strong likelihood that enterprises will continue to add more remote engineering positions in the coming years. The trend towards remote work has been gaining momentum, especially since the pandemic & lockdowns has forced everybody's hands. There are several incentives for enterprises to fully adopt this path as well:

Cost savings: overhead costs (such as office space, utilities, and other resources) not to mention cheaper salaries.

Access to a larger talent pool: the global talent pool has a wider range of skilled professionals.

Increased productivity: Studies have shown that remote workers can be more productive than their in-office counterparts.

Work-life balance: This is an attractive perk for many engineering professionals and can help companies attract and retain top talent.

Environmental benefits: Remote work can reduce the carbon footprint associated with commuting and office operations. This can be an attractive selling point for companies looking to showcase their commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
