Does any one have recommendations on Point of Sale (POS) systems for retail stores - different formats like electronics and furniture? Open to on-premise and cloud, the backend is SAP IS Retail. Multi-lingual capability preferred.

The Square POST is very good, not sure if it integrates with SAP. I also heard good things about the Shopify POS.

Currently using Square. But the transaction costs seem pretty steep.

Considering Wix or Shopify as an alternative.

While Shopify and other "generic" POS solutions have generic API's for SAP Integration, you should also consider POS that are in use by your specific retail type.  They will provide more flexibility for cross-selling and scheduling related services like deliveries, installations, and protection plans.  They should also enable the SAP management accounting features you'd want for these sales.

Without a doubt - Technical Debt! It's a ball and chain that creates an ever increasing drag on any organization, stifles innovation, and prevents transformation.
