It is co-owned by the CIO and CDO. Shared ownership is appropriate for us.

Why is this most appropriate for you? Do you find the ownership of technologies lies within the CIO’s perview whilst the CDO is responsible for traditional and advanced ML-/AI builds?

AI crosses between the Division of Institutional Effectiveness (CDAO), Division of Information Technology (CIO), and an Institute.

Interesting! What elements of the strategy are owned by each division?

The CDAO (me) and the CIO co-lead the digital strategy and data governance structure that has the overall strategy, business requirements, and planning. We have a sub-group that will focus on the AI strategy, developing functional requirements and implementation.
