What payroll system does your organization use? For a global company aiming to standardize payroll across all regions and continents, which solution would you recommend and why? We have a staff of 1,500.

Thank you. I'd like to understand if one global provider could be used even if there are multiple entities and the rules are different in each country?
It depends where are the offices, normally you would have a HR system first like Workday, SAP, Oracle or Bamboo HR. From there, a lot of global companies would use ADP affiliates for their local payroll processing and integrate with main HR system.
You have included quite a mix of HRIS in your comment. I would not consider any of them suitable for an organisation with a multi national workforce of 1,500 people. Workday, SAP and Oracle are all better suited to much larger workforces, and Bamboo is much better for very small organisations. For an international workforce of 1,500 people I would suggest Sage, Abeceder H2R, or Iris

I am not sure that you can standardise payroll across all regions and continents. Every country has different rules. There is no standard approach across the EU for example or even between the states of the USA.
I am wondering what you mean by standardise? Do you want one global provider? Do you want that provider to supply payroll in your home country as well?
The right approach to take will depend on how your business is set-up in each country and how many people you have in each country.
If you have one employee in a country you may not have a legal entity it may be possible to pay them from your headquarters. If this is not possible you may need to have an employer of record. If that is the case you will need a payroll service that can provide this. It is a very expensive service.
For countries with a larger workforce you need to decide where you want to make payments from and how you will handle currency conversions.
At the moment my first preference would be to organise payroll internally. It is cheaper and enables more control. The downside is that you have a lot of learning to make sure you are compliant, but it is just another aspect of what needs to be learnt in order operate effectively internationally.
