Recognizing the signs of burnout is crucial for maintaining mental and physical well-being. Some common indicators include:
1) Exhaustion: Feeling tired and drained most of the time, both physically and emotionally.
2) Lack of Motivation: Finding it difficult to get started on tasks or feeling apathetic towards work.
3) Decreased Performance: Noticing a decline in productivity, creativity, or efficiency.
4) Increased Negativity: Having a negative outlook, being irritable, or experiencing mood swings.

For me, the struggle lies in delegation. As a mid-sized business, I still handle a lot of tasks that I probably shouldn't. It's often challenging to determine what responsibilities to delegate and what to handle myself. To avoid burnout, I need to find a balance. It's essential to know when to step back and delegate tasks, even if it's tempting to take on every problem that needs fixing.

I believe having varied work streams is crucial to avoid burnout. If you're stuck in a rut, doing the same thing every day, burnout is inevitable. It's also important to continually educate yourself and set personal goals. This can help keep you from being overwhelmed by the enormity of the job.
