We have been using LinkedIn Learning for more of an ad hoc approach. we love the content and the flexibility. This year we will engage with DDI to build our core curriculum. We will also partner with our local university and an executive coach for our senior leadership.
Globally we use LinkedIn Learning and our learning team is designing specific learning paths per our leadership framework to link skills to the leadership 'expectation' . For ESG we work with Sustainability training resources for organisations | Climate School (axaclimateschool.com). In addition we have some custom build programs with a business school and some of our regions also signed up with DDI
We've partnered with the Cambridge Judge Business School to co-create our leader development program. It's been super successful as they do not push any particular narrative or framework, but are open to, and led by our needs while still challenging our mental models and providing deep expertise and cutting edge thinking. They bring in faculty and facilitators from across the university and the wider community, and have developed close partnerships with environmental organizations which means we have credibility, creativity, and collaboration in both design and delivery. The approach is experiential in nature and also provides coaching, peer engagement, and vertical integration across 3 cohort levels.
For those who want the DIY approach, we offer LinkedIn Learning paths, developed for three broad bands (early, mid, and experienced leader); e-Cornell certifications; and Harvard ManageMentor as alternatives.
We currently use DDI which we are happy with- scalable and offers flexibility. We also have Linked In Learning, Harvard Manage Mentor that offer online learning. Other open enrollment courses that we offer are Crucial Conversations and we are looking into Situational Leadership as some of us on the team are certified and can deliver internally. The balance for us is determining how much we develop internally and what do we outsource.
40% of our leadership development trainings are facilitated by external vendor partners while the remaining 60%, including managerial development, is managed internally. Our programs are well-researched, featuring multiple touchpoints. We ensure that interventions are not solely dependent on external vendors; a significant portion of sessions are conducted by internal leaders to maintain contextual relevance.
For internal leadership development, most of our training programs incorporate 360 feedback, DISC/Harrison assessments, 1-1 debriefing, simulations, assignments, case studies, and leaderboards to foster a sense of competition. These elements drive high engagement and contribute to a zero-dropout rate.
In addition to regular catalog programs, ad hoc programs tailored to specific problem statements, are designed often utilizing LinkedIn Learning and incorporating coaching into learning journeys. Overall, I’m pleased with the relationship we have with our vendor partners. The programs have consistently reported high NPS scores, reflecting strong satisfaction and contributing to growth.
