That depends on the type of activities the business is involved in, One of the best way for big companies to source service providers is through IT Tech expo where Vendors come together to display their products and what they can offer at affordable pricing. From there business can connect and make their choice and select providers they want for their services.

Good question as I can imagine we develop some level of tunnel vision depending on the channels we use. Also, finding and comparing vendors may have become time consuming and rather complex.
