Work travel is a privilege. Embracing your experience to meet new people, and see the beauty of nature and culture wherever you go.
It matters.

From an ethical perspective, I believe, as a leader, I can do a small part in providing more opportunities for diverse candidates that I was privileged to have, as a an old white guy. It's a moral imperative once you recognize inequity to try to alleviate it in whatever ways you can.
Will have to disagree with you on this one. I grew up in a society where preferences were given based on what nationality/language you spoke vs. your professional abilities. End results there were not pretty in terms of quality of service/performance you would see. I'm all for making sure schools/universities and earlier on provide equal opportunities and support for everyone so when folks get to workforce they would all be on equal footing, because in workforce performance and how well you qualify for the job should be determining characteristics of winning teams not other metrics.
