It depends on the role. If the role is in my group, more involved.

This varies. Someone on my direct team I am very involved. However for other teams they occasionally request my participation on either a panel interview or on the interview path, in which case I’m only partially involved and don’t get involved in salaries etc

Most of the application team I lead is in Brazil and the global IT leadership (US-based) now wants to move some of that work to a new global delivery center in India to be more cost effective, but I have doubts.
