My personal experience. I usually get the feedback and go back with data driven analysis providing details to cross leaders to understand the context and make decision basis data and and not gut feeling.
We tend to drift away from that strategy as the year progresses, and then we try to restart it in January
We do not allow per our standard work practices to allow recurring meetings to span over a year. Obviously some operations meetings and some projects will go for years but the general guidance is to evaluate what is really needed at the start of each new year
