The organization does not, but I do. I have blocked off my Fridays so that nobody "should" book a meeting on Fridays.

Before the Pandemic, from 2018 to early 2020, when we were all working from our office, we had a policy of "no meeting before 9:00" for the managers.

With this policy, our door was open for anyone to stop by and have a conversation until 9:00 am.

Because, more and more management meetings were starting early in the morning, like at 8:00 am.  And it was very hard for someone to meet his managers without an appointment.

I think that this should also be applicable in an hybrid world.   Having a dedicated period of "no meeting".   It's easier that way than having a whole day I think.

It would be amazing 😁 but I believe it is a dream.

Yes, we have informally agreed to Friday as a "no meeting" day.  This means that we do not schedule section-wide or large group meetings on that day.  This keeps the day free for working on your own schedule, or working with peers.
