Does anyone have examples of straight forward messaging templates for Product Marketing? I tend to follow more complex approaches from PMA and others, but we are in the midst of a rebrand and operating on minimal information, but need to get in market quickly.

I love the resources from FletchPMM - Anthony Pierri and Rob Kaminski are top notch and they give away a ton of expertise on Linkedin. They also have a repo of all their content available for just $50, including all sorts of great templates.

We use a 2-column table with the following row titles: Name, Target Buyer(s), Target Industries, Solution Headline (max. 10 words), Solution Subhead (max. 10 words, Problem Statement (100 Words), Solution Statement (100 Words), Main Selling Points (max. 450 words) Include 4-5 subheads and short paragraphs for each point., Primary Call to Action, 100 Word Description, 50 Word Description, 25 Word Description, Graphic, SEO Keywords.

It's shared within marketing and product management.

For messaging in a rush, I research the market as much as I can, then spend considerable effort creating a Geoffrey Moore-styled positioning statement. Then I put the entire statement (For. . . Who need. . .etc.) into ChatGPT and ask it to generate a messaging architecture.

IF I've done the positioning statement well, it spits out a serviceable first draft that covers: Top-line message, Key Messages and Proof Points under which are Problem, Solution, Differentiators, and Value Proposition for personas if you've included that. Finally, it suggests supporting pillars, often used as content themes.

"Serviceable" is the operating term here. You'll need to curate and wordsmith (or ask ChatGPT to).
