Roughly one year after the launch of ChatGPT, are the intentions for GenAI in B2B sales outpacing the actual capabilities of the technology?

Very much so, as someone who has  B2B automation software in the market I'm constantly being asked about our AI strategy. Whilst there may be temptation for us in sales/marketing to want to say we have AI in our product, the truth is we delivered significant value before ChatGPT exploded and that has not changed.

IF there is a well thought out reason for embedding AI into your product I would suggest taking the time to build it right rather than look to make a meaningless marketing statement.

In many ways yes.   With the rush to implement and embed AI into several tech tools, there is a lot of "vaporware" existing only in marketing copy that has yet to be realized in practical application.
