What has your experience been running micro-segmentation in the data center on a VMware NSX basis? We have started migration and are running permanently into problems with software bugs in VMware products. Last thing we learned is that Fault Tolerance is not supported in a NSX environment. In addition to NSX we have Palo Alto virtual firewalls on every ESX-Cluster. I am particularly interested in when you are running the same architecture - the combination of VMware NSX with Palo Alto.
NSX is still not used by many companies to its full extent, still firewall is managed at physical devices.
Public cloud like VMC on AWS, having multitenant environment are very effectively using all features.
