Any suggestions for how an organization can apply GenAI to optimize CPE (cost per engagement) for our digital advertising? Any success stories to share?

GenAI is designed to appeal to a specificity that is rarely seen in "manual" ads, it can create a personalization of the customer experience that will directly impact CPE. Some marketing colleagues may have their misgivings about the use of this generative artificial intelligence, but I believe it is a tool that, when used intelligently, can increase productivity, especially for tasks such as creating ad-specific copy, etc. It's best used as a collaborative tool alongside the expertise and knowledge of the worker.
I've used eventbrite's generative AI to write copy for ads I run. It works well to get ideas and formulate a story to tell. It's hard to tell if the copy that is generated is any more effective than writing your own copy because it's too early to tell and we don't have enough data to analyze.
That's a great and very hot topic these days. GenAI can used to create ads that are tailored to individual users, much more than what we're used to see. It can also predict which users are more likely to engage, which helps in placing ads more effectively. One of the companies I've seen leveraging AI effectively for this is Taboola.
We use it extensively for analysis of ad performance and to identify areas where improvement is needed. This information can then be used to optimize ad campaigns and reduce CPE.
We are experimenting with tuning the algo for automated ad bidding, which should help ensure that ads are displayed to the right people at the right time. This will likely help to improve your engagement rates and reduce CPE.
