For those that offer a PIP/Package option, do you still provide severance (full or a reduced percentage) to those who are unsuccessful at the conclusion of the PIP?  Or do you only offer severance at the PIP/Package stage?

We only offer a release agreement/payment at the separation of employment but it is a reduced percentage if the employee has been given the opportunity to participate in a PIP.

It depends on the situation.    Higher risk situations may warrant some type of separation package but typically if someone unsuccessfully completes a PIP then we do not offer a severance package.
