What are your thoughts on AI-leaders pushing for AI tools to be used to augment employees daily job function beyond their typical purview; i.e., engineers writing product descriptions and product marketers writing short code, etc.?

In my opinion, the term "pressure" does not quite capture the essence of what leadership in AI should entail. Rather than imposing the use of AI, I believe that leaders should focus on inspiring and fostering a sense of curiosity among managers. The goal is to show how AI can help them become more productive and enhance their day-to-day functions. It’s not about imposing technology, but about generating curiosity through thoughtful questioning, which ultimately leads managers to embrace AI naturally as part of their workflow.

AI is currently best used in the domain of your area of expertise. This is important because you need to have a solid foundation in your area of expertise in order to check to see if the AI is returning answers that are correct. At this stage of AI development, human domain expertise is still critical in many areas. Even when you have expertise in a certain domain, you should double check what AI is returning. Sounds brilliant.  Cross fertilisation of ideas, people understanding other jobs in the business.  I guess you'd want to make sure it didn't get out of control, but someone from one function helping someone in another has got to be a good thing.
