The very first happened to be one of the best 🙂 Without much experience or formal education, but with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good troubleshooting instincts, and desire to learn across all knowledge domains. Being customer focused and service oriented is extremely important to IT Org's success, so we started by building a Service Desk, then moving towards a more complete ITSM.

My best employee when setting up an IT Org was my IT OPs Manager. Former Marine who I could trust to take care of the operational processes and procedures. While he was doing that, I could focus on hiring the rest of the crew. Started with filling Ops, then I focused on the rest of my reports.
