The accountability ladder is a tool that helps leaders and employees identify their level of accountability. It is divided into 8 levels, from 1 (the least accountable) to 8 (the most accountable).
First, you need to know the concept of the accountability ladder. Only then can you identify the leaders and employees who need this concept for improvement. After identifying individuals, you can explain the concept of the accountability ladder to them by different means, like one-on-one meetings, and you can even collect questionnaire forms from each employee.
Based on response, you can categorize employees on those levels from 1 (the least accountable) to 8 (the most accountable).
Based on the response, we can discuss behaviors with the employee, which helps the employee recognize their behaviors and understand how their level of accountability impacts their performance.
