I have a question regarding the onboarding journey for senior executives: Are there any practices apart from the introduction given by HRBP to familiarize them with company culture and general guidance? For example, are there any workshops or quarterly gatherings specifically designed for senior executives? Seeking your insights, experiences, or any best practices you can share related to this topic.
This is an excellent question. Here are meaningful onboarding experiences I've seen organizations use with senior executives. 1] Connect them with an industry-roundtable or other special interest group in your area. For example, the metro area where I live in the US has a group for individuals who hold the position of CHRO (chief human resources officer). 2] Involve them in forums within your organization that allow them to build connections with peer leaders in other corporate functions. 3] Educate them on ways to learn about the business & employment environment in your region. For example, the metro area where I live in the US has a well-regarded publication that provides timely updates on businesses that are expanding (or reducing) operations in the region. Hope this helps.
Has anyone in talent acquisition used or currently using the tool Phenom? How so? Will be looking to discuss further with those who can share more on their experience.
How does your company handle global vs. regional policies? Do you have a global employee handbook or a list of global policies in addition to regional employee handbooks?
