Maintaining focus time goes beyond knowing what motivates our people. We must create the right structures (protected hours, fewer meetings), foster an environment with less noise, and build a culture that values deep work as much as collaboration. Motivation drives engagement, but systems and culture make focus possible.
Lead by example, let them know when you are having your focus time so you are the example. Communicate to them that deep work time is important so they know it's safe to figure out what works for them.
