What are other organizations using for live polling software to engage associates during group meetings? We were using polleverywhere and have since moved away from that resource. Any recommendations? We typically use polling features during training courses and large group meetings (500+).

We’ve experimented with a few different tools beyond PollEverywhere, especially for large groups. A few options that have worked well:

Slido – integrates easily with PowerPoint, Zoom, and Teams; very user-friendly for live polling, Q&A, and word clouds.

Mentimeter – great for interactive presentations and training; scales well to 500+ participants and offers varied question formats.

Kahoot! – more gamified, but very engaging for training sessions and knowledge checks.

MS Teams/Zoom Native Polling – if your org uses either platform, the built-in polling features have improved and can handle larger audiences.

Vevox – strong option for both anonymous feedback and polls; tends to be popular in learning/training environments.

From a change management perspective, adoption usually sticks best when facilitators have a simple “plug-and-play” option—so whichever tool you choose, I’d suggest embedding polls into existing slide decks or meeting platforms rather than requiring a separate app/URL.

We also use Mentimeter - easy to use, inexpensive.  We also use polling features in Microsoft Teams, since it is so well integrated with our meeting , tho i am not sure that works for 500+

Hi Deborah, in current and previous organisations we have used mentimeter which has worked really well for in room and virtual events. More recently we have started to use some of the new functions in MS Teams for polling

Hi Deborah, in the organizations I have worked with, we have used Kahoot!, Slido and Mentimeter for audience engagement including polling.

Same for us. Mentimeter is preferred since we use different web platforms (zoom, Teams, Google) depending on the audience. Most people find Menti more user friendly. Not to say that Kahoot and Slido are difficult, just a comfort zone for folks.
