Speaker Bio
Bill Good is Vice President of Supply Chain at GE Appliances, a Haier company. Bill is responsible for manufacturing operations, inbound transportation, and for leading the company’s supply chain network through its ongoing Lean transformation. Under his leadership, GE Appliances’ factories have become industry leaders in operational excellence, product quality, advanced automation, and talent development.
For Bill, manufacturing is more than a career — it’s personal. He began working on an assembly line in Opelika, Alabama in 1988, building treadmills while attending Auburn University. What began as simply a higher paying job to help pay for school, quickly became a lifelong calling. Despite the decline of U.S. manufacturing over the years, Bill has remained committed to strengthening America’s industrial base, believing that strong manufacturing makes our country stronger.
Throughout his career, Bill has revitalized plants, led multibillion-dollar investments, and developed high-performing teams. Before joining GE Appliances, he spent eight years at Whirlpool in roles of increasing responsibility, and earlier held leadership positions at Diversified Products, Tri-Glas, Char-Broil, and other manufacturers.
In 2025, Bill was honored with the WiM Ally Award, recognizing his leadership in broadening access to talent and ideas and helping build workplaces that foster innovation, growth, and global competitiveness.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from Auburn University, and both an MBA and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University.
