As is the case with most retailers, Best Buy operates on extremely narrow margins and needs to be efficient with every SG&A dollar available. Faced with rapidly growing cloud consumption costs, Best Buy found an urgent need to bend this cost curve back, and while doing so instilled a FinOps mindset across the enterprise. This presentation is to showcase the work that was completed to plan and optimize their workloads in AWS, all while educating stakeholders about their consumption costs.
