Shankar Swaminathan is Vice President of Analytics, Research, and Data at Fidelity Investments India. In this role, Shankar leads India-based analytics, research, and data science teams supporting the Fidelity Institutional, Wealth Management Services, Retirement, and Healthcare Service Operations groups at Fidelity Investments apart from multiple enterprise functions. Shankar has a team of 110 data analytics associates across Bangalore and Chennai. The insights they deliver support the strategic priorities of various business units and help leaders manage day-to-day operations with clear, timely, and actionable information. Prior to his current role, Shankar held multiple leadership positions within Fidelity, including operations teams across the Workplace Investing and Healthcare groups. Before joining Fidelity, Shankar worked at Infosys for seven years, where he held roles across software development, delivery, and project management. Shankar earned his Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, and pursued a postgraduate program in management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He lives in Bangalore with his wife Deepa and son Ishan and loves to spend his free time pursuing wildlife photography, watching movies, and travelling with his family.
