VP, Sustainable Procurement
Christophe Quiquempoix is the VP Global Procurement, Sustainable Procurement & External Manufacturing VP. He joined Schneider Electric in 2011.
Christophe has started his career in 1992 at Hewlett Packard in the PC division. He has worked in Research & Development as Design Engineer, then Project Manager. and moved towards procurement functions, managing the transition to outsourcing. He held different leadership position in Sourcing, Supply Chain and in Commodity Management in both France and California, USA, and spent a big amount of his time in Asia Pacific at suppliers’ sites. He developed there in-depth cross-cultural skills, open & direct management style focused on results & accountability.
After almost 20 years at Hewlett Packard, he joined Schneider Electric as Business Unit Procurement VP (Power, Partner, Eco Building BU) based in Grenoble. Leading all Procurement activities for those BU’s for the New Product Introduction and focus on developing innovation with- and delegating to suppliers.
In 2017, he took over the role of GSC Europe Procurement VP, leading an international team of 250 buyers, Procurement experts, Suppliers Quality & Logistics Engineers, Managers & Directors, defining and deploying the Europe Procurement strategy focus on: ensuring supply & services level to plants, driving quality improvements, delivering productivity and reducing cash. Spend managed was then 2B€.
In 2019, Christophe took the lead of Procurement Digital Strategy. The objective was to build a digitalization framework for Schneider Electric Procurement that enables drastic efficiency gain; equip the procurement teams with augmented capabilities; and accelerates innovation to drive a direct impact on customers and financials.
In 2020, he moved to a newly created role in Global Procurement leading the External Manufacturing. His team and him are defining the Finished Goods outsourcing strategy, and agressivlely implement across the globe this roadmap for dedicate product lines to increase our capacity & our resiliency.
Since 2021, Christophe took an additional responsibility to lead Sustainable Procurement for Schneider Electric. In this role he is defining the ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) strategy for Procurement: working in close collaboration with our suppliers to deploy our Environmental, Ethical & Social agenda. His team is leading among others the Zero Carbon, Decent Work with suppliers program, Cicularity specific programs, and all associated Governance around ESG topics with suppliers.
Christophe Quiquempoix studied electronics at Ecole Polytechnique de Mons (Belgium) and graduated as Electrical Engineer, Telecommunication Master.
