Steve Ballmer joined Microsoft in 1980 and was the first business manager hired by Bill Gates. Ballmer is presently leading the most comprehensive reinvention of Microsoft in the company's 25 years. Together with Gates and other technical leaders, Ballmer will lead Microsoft's development of a revolutionary Microsoft .NET platform for desktop personal computers, servers, non-PC devices and the Internet.

Dr. Barrett joined Intel Corporation in 1974 as a Technology Development manager. He was named a vice president of the corporation in 1984, promoted to senior vice president in 1987, and executive vice president in 1990. Dr. Barrett was elected to Intel Corporation's Board of Directors in 1992 and was named the company's Chief Operating Officer in 1993. He became Intel's fourth President in May 1997, and Chief Executive Officer in 1998.

Carly Fiorina is chairman and chief executive officer of HP, a leading global provider of computing and imaging solutions and services, which is focused on making technology and its benefits accessible to all. In order to accelerate HP's strategy, catalyze growth in a changing technology landscape and increase long-term shareowner and customer value, Fiorina led the HP merger with Compaq, which was completed in May 2002.

Michael D. Capellas, a 26-year veteran of the information technology business, is chairman, president and CEO of MCI. Prior to joining MCI in December 2002, Capellas, 48, was president of Hewlett-Packard Company. Previously, he was the chairman and CEO of Compaq, having joined the company in 1998 as chief information officer and also serving as chief operating officer before being named CEO in July 1999.

Paul Coby, 47, is Chief Information Officer at British Airways (BA). Paul joined British Airways in 1997, where he developed the Airline's alliance relationships and became General Manager responsible for Information Management Business Development. In September 2001, he became CIO, responsible for the operation and development of all British Airways Group systems.



Stephen Sichak, Jr. is Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Becton Dickinson and Company. Mr. Sichak joined the company in 1993 and held various marketing positions in the company's Vacutainer Systems business. In 1997, he was named Vice President and General Manager for the North American Operations of the Vacutainer Systems business. In 1999, he was named Vice President, Corporate Planning. He assumed his current position in November 2000.
