GartnerGroup Services Launches E-Channel Effectiveness Overview And TCO E-Commerce Assessment Programs
STAMFORD, Conn., November 1, 1999…GartnerGroup Services, the consulting, measurement, and solutions unit of Gartner Group, Inc. (NYSE: IT), today launched two e-business consulting programs.
The e-Channel Effectiveness Overview (eCEO) delivers a comprehensive assessment of how an enterprise's e-commerce channels impact more traditional business channels. The service measures and assesses three business channels: E-commerce, comprised of Web commerce; Customer Contact Center, covering catalog sales, centralized mail/fax inquiry and outbound sales; and Storefront and Salesforce, the traditional "brick and mortar" channel. Those channels will be compared and contrasted in order to best measure channel effectiveness and enable situational analyses for refining e-strategies.
As a GartnerGroup Services engagement, eCEO implementation includes team meetings with GartnerGroup consultants, an executive management presentation, cost model analysis, comparison to peer organizations from the worldwide GartnerGroup database, performance improvement strategies and selected GartnerGroup research and reports.
The Total Cost of Ownership E-Commerce Assessment (TCOECA) enables business and IT executives to compare and continuously measure their e-commerce strategy effectiveness. E-commerce channel performance is examined using metrics such as profitability, cost efficiency, sales conversions, functionality, complexity and data management.
Because GartnerGroup has an extensive knowledge base built upon working with more than 9,000 client organizations worldwide, clients can see how they match up to the competition by comparing their assessments to industrywide e-commerce results.
