GartnerGroup Services Launches GartnerExpress E-Business Diagnostic
STAMFORD, Conn., November 1, 1999…GartnerGroup Services, the consulting, measurement and solutions unit of Gartner Group, Inc. (NYSE: IT), today launched GartnerExpress E-Business Diagnostic, a very fast-moving evaluation that delivers a thorough business and technology assessment of a client's ongoing e-business initiatives and provides immediately actionable recommendations and next steps.
Over the course of 30 to 60 days, the GartnerExpress E-Business Diagnostic addresses business alignment, strategy convergence and business case realization. The service also encompasses tool-enabled Web-site design, performance, security and customer satisfaction considerations. With E-Business Diagnostic, business and IT managers can begin to 'scorecard' and improve the overall performance of their e-business initiatives. The E-Business Diagnostic also compares the client's relative Web-site design and performance with those of any three competitors. Three quarterly updates will be provided to support the client's need to monitor and improve performance.
The E-Business Diagnostic culminates in a roundtable management review to leverage the GartnerGroup Services report and analysis into actionable next steps for improving and sustaining effective e-business performance.
For clients requiring sustained performance improvement, the Gold version of the E-Business Diagnostic -- with an e-business Scorecard and ongoing Performance Improvement services -- will operate in a hands-on fashion for one year to enable attainment of the desired level of performance.
According to GartnerGroup research, total worldwide IT spending in 1999 is $2.2 trillion. By 2002, total worldwide IT spending is estimated to be $3.3 trillion, with up to half of that attributed to e-business.
Business and IT managers will use the GartnerExpress E-Business Diagnostic to address strategic questions about the value of e-business initiatives, the responsiveness and security of those services, the e-business contribution to overall sales, and the appropriateness of their e-business technology choices.
