Ganesh Ramamoorthy is a Managing Vice President in Gartner Research & Advisory based in Gartner’s Mumbai office. He manages experts worldwide in the semiconductor and electronics research team, and also leads research in the wired communications semiconductors, application-specific semiconductors, semiconductor IP, chip-design services, the Internet of Things (IoT) markets. Mr. Ramamoorthy advises product management and marketing and strategic planners in semiconductor companies, IoT vendors, system integration and engineering service providers, on product roadmap development, product messaging and positioning, go-to-market strategy, and competitive landscapes for IoT and semiconductor markets. He further advises government departments and industry bodies on issues pertaining to semiconductor and electronics industry policy, and IoT policy and standards. He is a regular invited speaker at various global industry forums on semiconductors, the IoT, and digital business. Mr. Ramamoorthy has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry and is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, from which he holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in mathematics.
