By 2030, less than 20% of I&O roles will be completely phased out, but over half will be fundamentally restructured to emphasize platforms, automation and AI governance, up from less than 5% in 2026. This session will help heads of I&O plan ahead and decide which roles to defend (upskill and keep), extend (reshape around AI/platforms) and upend (plan exits or redeployment), tied to a clear AI and platform engineering roadmap.
