For years, organizations saw information growth as progress. Cheap storage, cloud platforms, and weak disposal practices led businesses to keep almost everything. AI changes the equation: duplicate documents, conflicting policies, outdated records, and missing context now affect AI output—and increasingly, AI-agent actions.
