Is the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo® in São Paulo canceled?

No, the Symposium is not canceled. Due to ongoing concerns about the coronavirus (COIVD-19), we decided to postpone the conference out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our customers, employees, and partners. We are finalizing the details and will contact you in the coming days about the new dates.

 

Do I need to do anything to re-register for the new dates?

A Gartner representative will reach out to all registered attendees to move your registration to the new dates or to discuss alternatives.

 

If the new dates do not work for me, can I get a refund?

If the rescheduled dates are not suitable for you, please email GlobalConferences@gartner.com to find another alternative or to request a refund. 

 

What happens to my hotel and travel arrangements?

Please contact your hotel and airline as soon as possible to cancel your plans.

 

Will I receive a refund for airfare or hotel cancellation fees?

Please take the opportunity now to cancel or modify your travel arrangements as appropriate, including contacting the hotel if you have a room reservation. We are working with the hotel over the next few days to waive any cancellation penalties for rooms within our room block.

If you booked your hotel directly, please reach out to them to pursue a refund. We regret that we are unable to assist with airline change fees.

Speaking opportunities are available for conference exhibitors. If you are interested in exhibiting, you will need to speak with a Gartner exhibitor sales representative. How do I sign up for a Gartner one-on-one meeting?

Gartner one-on-one meetings are available exclusively to paid registered full conference attendees and are not available to exhibitors or exhibitor conference session pass holders. Because of the high demand for these appointments, each attendee may reserve two 30-minute one-on-one meetings with a Gartner expert. Preregistration for one-on-ones and small-group sessions are available through Gartner Conference Navigator, our online agenda-building tool.

 

Am I guaranteed the expert of my choice in my one-on-one meetings?

All registered attendees have the exclusive opportunity to speak directly with a Gartner expert in two private 30-minute one-on-one meetings. Because of the high demand for particular experts, sign-up is on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

How do I sign up for roundtables, workshops and other sessions requiring preregistration?

Interactive sessions such as roundtables, workshops and Meetups are available exclusively to paid registered conference attendees and are not available to exhibitors or exhibitor conference session pass holders. Because of the high demand and limited availability, we recommend you register in advance for these unique sessions. Preregistration is available through Gartner Conference Navigator, our online agenda-building tool.

 

Is there a list of Gartner experts who will be available at the conference?

Yes, we will have a Gartner expert guide with the list of our experts and the key areas with which they can assist clients. Please check back for the guide.

 

Are there any restrictions around Gartner one-on-one meetings?

Gartner one-on-one meetings are not available for vendor briefings or product demonstrations with experts. The expert reserves the right to stop the meeting if this situation occurs. Clients interested in briefing experts may contact the Vendor Relations department by emailing vendor.briefings@gartner.com to schedule a meeting following the conference.

When will I have access to documentation?

Registered attendees will be informed via email as conference documentation becomes available on Gartner Conference Navigator. This email will include step-by-step instructions to access presentations and select audio-recorded sessions.

Are there any executive leadership tracks/sessions available at the conference?

Yes, there is an exclusive CIO Experience available at the conference. Attendance requires application. Attendees can apply to the Gartner CIO Experience as part of the registration process. All qualified registrants will be considered and will be granted confirmation on the basis of the qualifications defined below and space availability. 

Applicants must meet the following qualification criteria to attend:

  • Enterprisewide CIO* or,
  • Business unit or regional CIO* responsible for:
    – Private sector: $250+ million in revenue
    – Public sector: 1,000 employees or a $250+ million IT budget

*Qualifying CIOs from a technology vendor or consultancy must be involved exclusively in their organization’s internal IT/IS operation.

Am I able to purchase a copy of the attendee list?

No, Gartner does not post or sell attendee lists. For more details please review the registration Terms & Conditions.
