We are excited and are prepared to return to in-person conferences this year. Over the coming months, we will continue to monitor and adhere to government, venue and health agency guidelines and recommendations as we plan our in-person programs.
As part of our commitment to creating the safest possible environment for our community given current infection rates around the globe, we will be requiring all attendees, exhibitors, staff and partners to be fully vaccinated to participate in this year’s in-person conferences, in addition to completing a health status attestation prior to arrival.
In addition to the above attendance criteria, we will implement a set of operational planning measures to help create a clean and safe conference. Please note that precautions may evolve prior to each event; however, the following measures will be followed at a minimum:
- Increased cleaning and sanitizing of the event space
- Decreased capacity and minimized congestion where possible across the venue, including more space in aisleways
- Touchless or reduced contact interactions throughout the conference
What is considered fully vaccinated?
For the purposes of this guidance, people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 ≥2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series or ≥2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine.
Are booster shots required?
While we recommend a booster dose, at this time it is not a requirement to be considered fully vaccinated. We will continue to monitor the recommendations and definitions of leading health organizations and will communicate should this change.
What will be included in the attestation?
The conference health attestation will require each participate to certify to the following prior to arrival in order to attend the conference:
- Has not tested positive for COVID-19
- Not currently experiencing any symptoms consistent with COVID-19
- Not knowingly been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
Will masks be required at in-person conferences?
At this time, we continue to learn about and plan for the precautions and measures that contribute to our commitment to safety. We are planning to align with local and venue regulations for mask mandates. We will confirm final plans and requirements prior to each conference as requirements are subject to change.
Will a negative test be required to attend an in-person conference?
At this time, we continue to learn about and plan for the precautions and measures that contribute to our commitment to safety. We do not currently plan to require a negative test prior to attending a Gartner conference, however we will confirm final plans and requirements prior to each conference as all requirements are subject to change.
