How do I register for the conference?

There are three ways to register for Gartner CIO Leadership Forum:

What methods can I use to pay?

You may pay with a Gartner CIO Leadership Forum ticket, credit card or invoice with PO number. Payment must be made prior to the conference or it will be collected upon entrance to the conference.

What is the cost to attend?
Register early for the lowest prices:

Early-bird price (expires December 11, 2020): $3,350

Standard price: $3,800

Public-sector price: $3,125

Gartner clients may contact their account managers for special pricing options or may use a Gartner CIO Leadership Forum ticket as a form of payment. 

What is included in the full registration price?

What are the conference hours?

Gartner CIO Leadership Forum 2020 will officially begin Sunday, February 21, at 8:30 a.m., and end at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23.  

When can I pick up my badge at the registration counter?

Registration will be open the following dates and times:

Sunday, February 21, 2020: 6:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Monday, February 22, 2029: 6:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Are there any speaking opportunities at the conference?

Speaking opportunities are available for conference exhibitors. If you are interested in speaking, please contact your Gartner exhibitor sales representative.

What if I am interested in exhibiting at the conference?

Are there any speaking opportunities at the conference?

How do I sign up for a Gartner one-on-one meeting?

Gartner one-on-one meetings are available exclusively to paid registered full conference attendees. They are not available to exhibitors or exhibitor conference session pass holders. Because of the high demand for these appointments, each attendee may reserve two 30-minute one-on-one meetings with a Gartner expert. Preregistration for one-on-one meetings and small-group sessions are available through Gartner Conference Navigator, our online agenda-building tool.

Am I guaranteed the expert of my choice in my one-on-one meeting?

All registered attendees have the exclusive opportunity to speak directly with a Gartner expert in a private 30-minute one-on-one meeting. Due to the high demand for particular experts, speaker selection is on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.

How do I sign up for roundtables, workshops and other sessions requiring preregistration?

Interactive sessions such as roundtables, workshops, and meetups are available exclusively to paid registered conference attendees, excluding exhibitors and exhibitor conference session passholders. Because of high demand and limited availability, we recommend that you register in advance for these unique sessions. 

Is there a list of Gartner experts who will be available at the conference?

Yes, a Gartner experts guide will be available soon and will include a complete list of  available experts, as well as their area of expertise. Please check our speaker page!

Are there any restrictions around Gartner one-on-one meetings?

One-on-ones are not available for vendor briefings or product demonstrations with experts. The expert reserves the right to stop the meeting if this situation occurs. Clients interested in briefing experts may contact the Vendor Relations department by emailing to schedule a meeting following the conference.

How do I register for the conference?

Please visit the Gartner CIO Leadership Forum registration page to register for the conference. If you are an Executive Programs member, please contact your service delivery associate to register.

What if I’m having trouble logging into my account?

Resetting your credentials can be done online. Please follow the links and instructions on the login page.

Where is Gartner offering special hotel room rates?

As a conference attendee, you have exclusive access to special hotel room rates at the following hotel when you book through Gartner:

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa: $339 per night

Room rates are subject to applicable taxes and resort fees per night. 

The deadline to reserve a room at the discounted rate, is 5 p.m. ET on January 22, 2021. After this time rates are subject to hotel availability. We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as your travel dates are confirmed.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

First, you’ll need to register for the conference before you can book your hotel room. Hotel reservations can then be made by signing into your conference registration profile and selecting Book Hotel. If you haven’t completed your profile, you may be asked to answer a few brief questions before you can make your reservation.

Please note that provisional reservations are not permitted and reservations at the special Gartner rate can’t be made directly with the hotel. Calls to the hotel will be redirected to the Gartner Conferences team.

Will a minimum-night stay be required?

A two-night minimum stay is required.

Are rooms available at a government rate for public-sector attendees?

A limited number of rooms are available at the GSA per diem rate for qualified United States government officials and military travelers. All reservations made at the government rate are subject to review, and a valid government or military ID will be required at check-in for the hotel to reconfirm your eligibility to receive the per diem rate.

Government room rates are quoted at the current GSA per diem rate and are subject to change if GSA rates are adjusted by the government.

If the public-sector rate is no longer available, you’ll be offered a room at the commercial rate. If you choose to book at the commercial rate, the price can’t be adjusted, regardless of your public-sector status. The rate listed in your confirmation email will be the rate charged by the hotel.

How do I change or cancel my hotel reservation?

If you need to change or cancel your hotel reservation prior to 5 p.m. ET on January 22, 2021, sign into your registration profile and select Edit Reservation. If you need to change or cancel your hotel reservation after this date, you’ll need to contact the hotel directly.

What is the hotel cancellation policy?

From the time of booking, you have 3 business days to cancel your reservation without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations made outside of this window and prior to 5:00 p.m. ET on January 22, 2021 will be charged a non-refundable cancellation fee equal to a one-night stay. After 5:00 p.m. E

T on January 22, 2021, the hotel will charge a non-refundable deposit of the two-night minimum stay, including applicable taxes and resort fees, to the credit card provided at the time of booking. The rate provided at the time of booking and listed in your confirmation email will be the rate charged by the hotel for your cancellation fee or deposit. Government rate rooms will not be charged until check-in and are subject to the same cancellation policies outlined above.

Failure to check-in on your scheduled arrival date will result in the cancellation of your entire reservation and will be subject to the cancellation penalty.

Please note, if you cancel your event registration you will need to cancel your hotel reservation separately.

I received a phone call from someone saying they can offer me a room at a lower rate or at a different hotel. Is this a scam?

Gartner Conferences will always provide notice to attendees and exhibitors when using a third-party provider, such as George P. Johnson (GPJ), as part of the conference administration. If you receive a phone call or an email from a third-party provider claiming to be contacting you on behalf of Gartner Conferences, please contact the Gartner Conferences team to verify the third-party provider prior to responding. When will I have access to documentation?

Registered attendees will be informed via email as conference documentation becomes available on Gartner Conference Navigator. This email will include step-by-step instructions to access presentations and select audio-recorded sessions.

What should I do as a first-time attendee?

  • Before you arrive, build your agenda using Gartner Conference Navigator (on your desktop or via our mobile app).

  • Make sure your profile is complete to get the best from our profile match feature. Share information about your interests and priorities to discover the sessions that are the best fit for you.

  • Be sure to register in advance for any roundtables, Gartner one-on-one meetings or workshops you’d like to attend. We also have networking breakfasts and breaks running throughout the conference to help you expand your network.

  • If you need a hand getting started, contact the Conference Concierge team for assistance. They can create an agenda based on your priorities, recommend exhibitors to connect with and even schedule your Gartner one-on-one meeting.

What is the Gartner Conference Navigator app and do I need to download it?

Gartner Conference Navigator is our mobile app (available on Android and iOS) that makes it easy for you to navigate and build your personal agenda. Download from your app store, sign in with your login details and you’ll be good to go. Don’t forget to opt in to receive push notifications while with us to keep informed of the latest conference updates.

Is my attendance limited if I am not currently a Gartner client?

Absolutely not! As long as you have fully paid your registration fee, you have access to all conference activities, along with Gartner session documentation. If you’re interested in becoming a Gartner client, you can visit the Gartner Zone to better understand the benefits you’ll receive.

Are there limited seating sessions that I need to sign up for?

Yes, you will need to sign-up in advance for some sessions like workshops, Meetups and roundtables. If you try to register for a session and it is listed as "full" or "closed," there is still a possibility you can attend. Once at the conference, find the room for that session and arrive there about 15 minutes prior to the session start to have your name added to the waiting list. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

What should I wear?

We suggest comfortable shoes — you’ll be doing a lot of walking from your hotel room to the conference space, from session to session and navigating the Exhibit Showcase. Business casual dress is what most attendees opt for, but we also recommend that you dress in layers as the conference rooms can get chilly.

Am I able to purchase a copy of the attendee list?

No, Gartner does not post or sell attendee lists. For more details please review the registration Terms & Conditions.

Gartner has not authorized anyone to contact you on our behalf and we encourage you to avoid these attempts by not engaging with suspicious emails or calls as they are phishing scams.
