Is the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit in Grapevine canceled?

No, the Summit is not canceled. Due to ongoing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19), Gartner has decided to reschedule the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit to September 21 - 24 at Gaylord Texan Hotel & Convention Center.


Do I need to do anything to re-register for the new dates?

No, you do not need to take any action. We have contacted all attendees regarding their registration. If you were registered for the conference and need additional assistance, please contact us at GlobalConferences@gartner.com.


If the new dates do not work for me, can I get a refund?

If the rescheduled dates are not suitable for you, please email GlobalConferences@gartner.com to find another alternative or to request a refund. 


What happens to my hotel and travel arrangements?

If you haven’t already done so, please contact your hotel and airline as soon as possible to change or cancel your original travel plans.


Will I receive a refund for airfare or hotel cancellation fees?

We are working with the conference hotel to try to waive any cancellation penalties for rooms booked within our room block.

If you booked your hotel directly, please reach out to them to pursue a refund. We regret that we are unable to assist with airline change fees.

How do I register for the conference?

What methods can I use to pay?

You may pay with a Gartner conference ticket, credit card or invoice with PO number. Payment must be made prior to the conference or it will be collected upon entrance to the conference.

 

What is the cost to attend?
 
Register early for the lowest prices:

Standard registration: $3,825

Public-sector registration: $3,250

Gartner clients may contact their account managers for special pricing options or may use a Gartner conference ticket as a form of payment. 

 

Is there a bulk discount for large groups?

What is included in the full registration price?

Registration fee includes conference attendance, documentation, a special evening event, breakfasts and lunches. Click here for details.

 

What are the conference hours?

Gartner Data and Analytics Summit will officially begin Monday, September 21, 2020 at 6:45 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday September 24, 2020.

Preconference Workshops will be held Sunday, September 20, 1:00 - 5:15 p.m., and are included with your registration but require preregistration via Gartner Conference Navigator.

 

When can I pick up my badge at the registration counter?

Registration will be open the following dates and times:

Sunday, September 20, 2020: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Monday, September 21, 2020: 6:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, September 22, 2020: 6:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 23, 2020: 6:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Thursday, September 24, 2020: 6:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Are there any speaking opportunities at the conference?

Speaking opportunities are available for conference exhibitors. If you are interested in exhibiting, you will need to speak with a Gartner exhibitor sales representative. If you know who the representative is for your space, please reach out to them directly. If you are not aware of the representative for that space, call 1 800 356 4740 or email exhibit@gartner.com.

How do I sign up for a Gartner one-on-one?

One-on-ones are available exclusively to paid registered full conference attendees and are not available to exhibitors or exhibitor conference session pass holders. Due to the high demand for these appointments, each attendee may reserve one 30-minute one-on-one with a Gartner expert. Preregistration for one-on-ones and small sessions are available through Gartner Conference Navigator, our online agenda-building tool on the following dates:

  • Alumni and accepted members of the Elite Program - DATES COMING SOON 
  • All registered attendees  - DATES COMING SOON 

 

Am I guaranteed the expert of my choice in my one-on-one meeting?

All registered attendees have the exclusive opportunity to speak directly with one Gartner expert in a private 30-minute one-on-one meeting. Due to the high demand for particular experts, sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

How do I sign up for roundtables, workshops and other sessions requiring preregistration?

Interactive sessions such as roundtables, workshops, and meetups are available exclusively to paid registered conference attendees and are not available to exhibitors or exhibitor conference session pass holders. Due to the high demand and limited availability (up to 12 end-users per session), we recommend you register in advance for these unique sessions. Preregistration is available through Gartner Conference Navigator, our online agenda-building tool on the following dates:

Is there a list of Gartner experts who will be available at the conference?

Yes, we will have a Gartner expert guide with the list of our experts and the key areas with which they can assist clients. Please check back for the guide.

 

Are there any restrictions around Gartner one-on-ones?

One-on-ones are not available for vendor briefings or product demonstrations with experts. The expert reserves the right to stop the meeting if this situation occurs. Clients interested in briefing analysts may contact the Vendor Relations department by emailing vendor.briefings@gartner.com to schedule a meeting following the conference.

Gartner has reserved a limited block of hotel rooms at special hotel rates for registered attendees when you book through your gartner.com account.

Gartner hotel reservations are not currently open. Check back for updates!

Please note, if you booked a hotel room for the original conference dates, please contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation. Hotel reservations for the rescheduled conference dates will need to be made separately. Registered attendees will receive an email as soon as hotel reservations at the special Gartner rate can be made through your gartner.com account.
 

I received a phone call from someone saying they can offer me a room at a lower rate or at a different hotel. Is this a scam?

Gartner Conferences will always provide notice to attendees and exhibitors when using a third-party provider, such as George P. Johnson (GPJ), as part of the conference administration. If you receive a phone call or an email from a third-party provider claiming to be contacting you on behalf of Gartner Conferences, please contact the Gartner Conferences team to verify the third-party provider prior to responding. When will I have access to documentation?

Registered attendees will be informed via email as conference documentation becomes available on Gartner Conference Navigator. This email will include step-by-step instructions to access presentations and select audio-recorded sessions.

Are there returning attendee benefits?          

Yes, all returning attendees have access to exclusive benefits*.

Alumni benefits bump you to the head of the line for important conference features:

  • Priority access  for Gartner one-on-ones, workshops, roundtables, Meetups and other sessions that require preregistration through Conference Navigator
  • Alumni discount of $350 and a welcome packet on-site

What should I do as a first-time attendee?

  • Before you arrive, build your agenda using Gartner Conference Navigator (on your desktop or via our mobile app).
  • Make sure your profile is complete in order to get the best from our profile match feature. Share information about your interests and priorities to discover the sessions that are the best-fit for you.
  • Be sure to register in advance for any roundtables, Gartner one-on-one meetings or workshops you’ d like to attend. We also have networking breakfasts and breaks running throughout the event to help you expand your network.
  • If you need a hand getting started, contact the Conference Concierge Team for assistance. They can create an agenda based on your priorities, recommend exhibitors to connect with and even schedule your Gartner one-on-one meeting.
  • Join us on the Exhibit Showcase during daily receptions so you can meet with the technology leaders in the space and find the solutions you need.

 

What is the Gartner Conferences app and do I need to download it?

Gartner Conference Navigator is our mobile app (available on Android and iOs) that makes it easy for you to navigate and build your personal agenda. Download from your app store, sign in with your log in details and you’ll be good to go. Don’t forget to opt-in to receive push notifications while with us to keep informed of the latest event updates.

 

Is my attendance limited if I am not currently a Gartner client?

Absolutely not! As long as you have fully paid your registration fee, you have access to all event activities open to you along with Gartner session documentation. If you’re interested in becoming a Gartner client, you can visit the Gartner Zone to better understand the benefits you’ll receive.

 

Are there limited seating sessions that I need to sign up for?

Yes, you will need to sign up in advance for some sessions like workshops, Meetups and roundtables. If you try to register for a session and it is listed as “full” or “closed,” there is still a possibility you can attend. Once at the conference, find the room for that session and arrive there about 15 minutes prior to the session start to have your name added to the waiting list. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

 

What should I wear?

We suggest comfortable shoes — you’ll be doing a lot of walking from your hotel room to the event space, from session to session and navigating the Exhibit Showcase. Business casual dress is what most attendees opt for, but we also recommend that you dress in layers as the conference rooms can get chilly.

Are there any executive leadership tracks/sessions available at the conference?

Yes, there is an exclusive CDO Circle available at the conference. Attendance requires application, attendees can apply to the Gartner CDO Circle as part of the registration process. All qualified registrants will be considered and will be granted confirmation based upon qualifications defined below and space availability. The program has limited capacity to facility the interactive, collaborative content.

  • Applicant must have marketing leadership responsibilities for a business unit or division
  • Applicant must not report into any higher marketing executive
  • The applicant is not employed by an organization that provides products or services to marketing professionals

Am I able to purchase a copy of the attendee list?

No, Gartner does not post or sell attendee lists. For more details please review the registration Terms & Conditions.
