Agenda

We're preparing our 2016 agenda, which will be based on the results of our annual CIO Agenda survey designed to identify the most critical priorities for CIOs globally.

Key Take-Aways From the 2015 Forum

Image This Executive Summary Report focuses on event highlights and the three major subthemes that helped shape the Gartner CIO Leadership Forum 2015 agenda. Last year’s Forum was held March 1 – 3, at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, AZ, with nearly 700 CIOs on-site.

Key Take-Aways From the 2015 Forum Included:

  • Create awareness and appetite within your organizations. Many CIOs emphasized the importance of storytelling and engaging their enterprise in personal ways. Holding brown-bag lunches, job swapping and open-space meetings to generate new ideas were just a few of the techniques they planned on using when they got back.
  • Build new business capabilities that drive revenue. The initial focus of CIOs is on the IT capabilities around speed and agility, but the groundwork required to build capabilities that drive revenue needs to be laid out.
  • Embed change into the organization through culture and commitment. The 19 “isms” of Quicken Loans was an example of how one CIO has embedded change into her organization. An example of an ism: “We are the ‘they’.”

Excellent sessions, analyst one-on-ones and networking opportunities. It is great to have an exclusive venue of CIOs to talk about our world.
