Prior to joining Gartner in 2011, Ms. Pierce was the founder and president of Strategic Networks Group. She has also held senior research leadership positions at Forrester Research and Giga Information Group, which included serving as the chair of Giga's Research Fellows and as a research leader of the company's telecommunications and network research practice. While at Giga/Forrester, she was named by industry watchers as a Top Ten IT Analyst twice. Prior experience includes extensive consulting on network signaling protocols. Her career in networks began at AT&T, where she led market research, large-scale simulation/forecasting efforts, R&D and product management initiatives that introduced entirely new classes of business services to the world.
