Scott Young is a Senior Director in Gartner's Business Technology Insights Human Resources practice. He publishes research and advises senior leaders in Human Resources on topics such as improving the employee experience and crafting an effective employee value proposition, defining and building an organization culture that supports leaders' mission critical priorities, improving and sustaining employee engagement, and using employee listening and feedback approaches to improve organizational effectiveness. Scott's research and guidance are informed by over two decades of experience in external and internal consulting leadership roles, and a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology.
Scott worked previously as the Director of Employee Experience in a global healthcare company, where he has responsibility for onboarding, recognition, employee listening, and patient experience surveys. Before that, he worked in external consulting roles and advised leaders in large, global companies on culture, engagement, and employee listening, and included book and journal article publications on these topics.
