Differentiating from Competitors with Customer Reviews

Since launching in 2012, most of TeamUp’s review generation came from manual review collection and customers leaving testimonials at their leisure. TeamUp wanted to accelerate review collection to help attract new customers and close deals faster. Having recent, high-quality reviews for prospective users was a top priority. It was also important for TeamUp to use reviews to build on and showcase its strong user community as a differentiator.

TeamUp worked with Gartner Digital Markets through its complimentary Review Collection Service to differentiate from the competition. TeamUp regularly surveys their customers and captures touch points through experiences with their product. By encouraging customers to leave a review in exchange for a gift card incentive (see the Incentivized Reviews Policy), TeamUp was able to speed up the review collection process and build better relationships with their users. As a result, this provided current and prospective customers with confidence in the purchase process.
