In a recent Gartner survey, software engineering leaders identified 11 technologies as providing value by enhancing developer experience and productivity.
The six technologies with the highest value-for-risk ratios were cloud management platforms, software composition analysis, design systems, container management, internal developer portals and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) toolchains.
In terms of adoption plans, cloud management platforms lead the way with 67% of respondents indicating that this technology is either deployed or planned for 2023 deployment at their organizations. Container management is close behind with 61% of respondents indicating that this technology is either deployed or planned for 2023 deployment.
