Alan Waite is a Managing Vice President in Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP) managing Cloud Infrastructure and Operations team. His team covers cloud adoption, datacenter and infrastructure strategy, and comparison of cloud service providers. Previously, Mr. Waite was a senior research analyst covering hybrid and multicloud architectures.
Previously to working at Gartner, Mr. Waite had three decades of experience in the IT industry, having held positions ranging from systems engineer and solutions architect, to technical training and product management. He ran IBM technical training in Asia/Pacific for x86, system management and virtualization for five years. He then returned to Australia in the role of evangelist for enterprise infrastructure solutions and cloud. Before joining Gartner, he was the subject matter expert for converged integrated systems at IBM.
