Alana Nolan is a Director at Gartner with more than a decade of dedicated experience supporting enterprise architecture (EA) leaders. She helps heads of EA and their executive teams start or restart their EA function, develop compelling value propositions, and design robust EA service portfolios. She also guides clients on measuring and communicating EA’s strategic impact through metrics and developing essential skills within their EA teams.
Prior to her current role, Alana spent multiple years serving as the Key Initiative Leader for Gartner’s EA operating-model research portfolio. Her Gartner career has included helping successfully launch a new product for heads of EA, as well as designing, leading, and contributing to myriad EA practitioner-based research workstreams and case studies, quantitative surveys, and diagnostic tools. Since joining Gartner’s EA research team over twelve years ago, she has exclusively supported EA executives — shaping the insights and best practices that drive high-performance EA functions.

- Service staff, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (1 amazing winter season): Joined the staff of a leading U.S. ski resort, and spent an incredible year balancing customer service roles in Jackson, Wyoming with alpine and outdoor sports.
