Alexander Hoeppe's research responsibilities include IoT/Industrie 4.0 technology and business strategies that include smart manufacturing, as well as complex technology architectures for end-to-end IoT platform solutions. Mr. Hoeppe covers the full life cycle of industrial IoT and Industrie 4.0 solution implementation initiatives across all phases: Strategic alignment/business case definition, conception, process-driven, but also agile implementation and operation of heterogeneous IoT architectures. Mr. Hoeppe has deep knowledge in the area of business process digitization with a clear focus on SAP and leading PLM solution providers like Siemens, PTC or Dassault Systemes combined with a strong methodology background especially in the area of BPM, EAM including integration of CPS, maturity assessment wizards and model-based implementation approaches.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Hoeppe was Vice President of the Innovations and Portfolio management at Scheer GmbH. Mr. Hoeppe participated in corporate strategy design, consulting services and solution portfolio management processes (idea-to-offer). Mr. Hoeppe was also managing the Industrie 4.0 and Big Data/Cloud initiatives and therewith played a key role in the definition of new IoT-related consulting solutions and software products.
Before that he was head of the solution unit PLM, MDM and ECM (product life cycle/ master data/ enterprise content management) with a focus on process-driven implementation of SAP including integration of leading PLM, MDM and ECM solution providers.
Prior to joining Scheer, Mr. Hoeppe was Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting for more than five years working mainly with Fortune 500 companies on large-scale global implementation and rollout projects. Before his consulting career, Mr. Hoeppe worked for five years as a design engineer and project manager in the capital goods industry with a focus on environmental technologies and power plant engineering and construction.
