Amber Salley is a Senior Research Director, in the Strategy and Planning Technology team. Amber's research focus covers supply chain planning technologies and is cross-industry. She is responsible for guiding supply chain leaders through SCP technology roadmap development and provider selection.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Salley held positions as a management consultant. Her first management consulting role was with Booz & Co.(now Strategy&), where she was aligned with the firm's IT strategy groups. She then joined Accenture's Supply Chain Planning Services group. She has worked with clients in many industries, including CPG, retail, healthcare, business equipment and chemical. Her management consulting project experience includes large-scale cost and culture transformations, business process re-engineering, shared-services development, and large-scale ERP implementations. She has also worked within IBM's integrated supply chain organization, where she provided technical support to the laptop and desktop manufacturing process.
