Andrew Humphreys' main focus is on Integration and API architectures, strategies and technologies including digital transformation and the API economy, Service-Orientated Architecture (SOA), Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM) and Business Process Management (BPM). He has deep specialist knowledge in the areas of API Lifecycle Management and API Monetization, and in Integration technologies include application integration software such as enterprise service bus (ESB), integration platform as a service (iPaaS) and including event brokers and Kafka. He also covers organizational issues for integration, including integration competency centers and centers of excellence (COEs).
Prior to joining Gartner Andrew worked at IBM for 28 years in a variety of roles related to integration. Most recently he was the Product Management leader for IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and before that for IBM Integration Bus and IBM App Connect.
Prior to working in product management he has over 20 years of experience working in consultancy services and technical pre-sales for integration technologies where His combination of technical knowledge and real-life project experience results in continuous requests to support various customer activities, including external speaker engagements, invitations to contribute to external publications, executive briefings, architectural / QA reviews and providing technical leadership in the delivery of projects.
