Prior to joining Gartner, he was the Director of Platforms at NHS Digital designing, developing, deploying and operating national IT and data services to support the NHS in England. Andrew has over 15 years experience of central healthcare IT development and has a deep understanding of the forces influencing healthcare delivery. He advises CIOs on how to select, implement and adapt technology and process to maximise quality and efficiency.
Andrew led the Platform directorate at NHS Digital developing some of the key national platforms for the NHS in England including the NHS Spine, Data Platforms, Identity and Access Management and developed the 3 year platform strategy for the next generation of capabilities. He also led the first major programme to use Lean and Agile practices at scale into the organisation.
