Andy Fielden is a Managing Vice President at Gartner in Enterprise Operations, Business and Technology Insights.
Mr Fielden joined Gartner in 2018 as a Senior Executive Partner. From that date until June 2022 he provided advisory support via the Executive Programs product to C-suite Executives in the GE/HT/LE sectors.
Prior to that Mr. Fielden has 30 years of experience working in the manufacturing, Telecom and IT industries as a production, product, marketing and program manager as well as senior IT roles which include major transformation and CIO. Transformation has been a constant theme throughout his career initially driven by business process reengineering and industrial engineering techniques from his time in manufacturing with Courtaulds, leading to softer Systems Thinking and Organizational Design approaches, which have underpinned cultural and business change across a number of BT Divisions. In the last 15 years he has majored on IT transformation; in particular leading the development and implementation of a service orientated architecture approach to product development that produced significant time-to-market and cost reduction benefits.
More recently, he has held CIO roles in customer facing divisions and group functions, leading the significant transformation of the system stacks supporting provision and repair of a global product portfolio was a major achievement. He has also driven transformational Cloud implementations in the Group HR and Supply Chain functions as well as gaining board support for technical roadmaps which have delivered the synergy benefits of a significant corporate acquisition. These roadmaps have also provided the opportunity to champion and implement new technologies into operational environments including the use of 3D printing, Augmented Reality and Drones.
