Brendan Williams is a Senior Director Analyst within Gartner's Technology and Service Provider research organization. Mr. Williams' research is focused primarily on the market for consulting services, in particular digital business consulting services. Mr. Williams' research helps address the mission-critical priorities of product managers at consulting providers (for example, industry vertical leads or service line leads), as well as digital business consulting practice leaders. Specific focus areas include issues related to planning and developing consulting products, solutions, or offerings, such as market strategy, the competitive landscape, and product or offering differentiation.
Mr. Williams' research looks at broad themes and macro-level trends related to both the supply of and the demand for digital business consulting services, such as digital transformation and digital disruption. He focuses in particular on how consulting providers can help their clients respond to and profit from technology-driven change by transforming their business models and optimizing their operating models. Mr. Williams also works with end user organizations across all major industries and geographic markets that are buyers of consulting services.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Williams led the digital consulting research service line and produced research delivering insights into the market for management consulting services related to emerging technologies. He has over 15 years of experience in creative, analytical, and management roles across the management consulting, IT services, financial services, and market research industries. An experienced analyst, he recently joined Gartner after four years at a boutique research house, where he built and managed a research line focused on providing insights into the emerging market for digital consulting services. Mr. Williams has worked across a number of client industries. Based in the U.K., he has extensive experience living and working across the U.S. and Western Europe.
