Before joining Gartner, I was a U.S. Army Logistics Officer and I worked in the IT and cybersecurity market for ~30 years; where I served in several different technology leadership and management positions. I've led multiple cybersecurity consulting and managed security services teams (with upwards of 70+ team members) at Secureworks, Optiv, and Booz Allen Hamilton. I was also the Sr Director of the Cyber Threat Hunting Solutions group at Raytheon Cyber and also held a position as a Sr Product Leader at IBM Security overseeing their Managed SIEM offerings and related consulting services. In addition, I led several teams of project/program managers and security engineers at Lockheed Martin with a focus on security operations and corporate-wide cybersecurity improvement initiatives, while simultaneously holding a position as the cybersecurity solutions lead for the F35 Joint Strike Fighter program. Prior to that, I worked at USAA where I managed a team of project managers and software developers that focused on cybersecurity solutions for online financial services. I also worked for a couple different software and healthcare technology startups where I managed a team of software engineers that delivered various types of custom software solutions.
